Alarm Pro App Reviews

The missing function of Mac Os !

Yeah, I finally can use my Mac to wake up with my music ! Next steps could be to be able to resize the window that is a bit too little to choose the music. Then, if it is feasible, to ring even when the Mac is in deep sleep mode. But as it is, its already a great app.

Does not work

Does not work on OS X Marevericks

Create as many alarms as you like

Works well, and I like that my alarms are different colours.

Works just like advertised but missing 2 things

These suggestions are nit-pickey so take them with a grain of salt. When selecting the sound you want to use to wake you up there is no way to preview the sound like there is on equivilant IOS applications. So just adding a simple preview button would be GREAT. second the menu bar icon is annoying because it keeps moving as the hands on the clock rotate. Plz give us an option to make them stop. that is all. but over-all a great application and well worth the price of a starbucks coffee.

Does not work

This alarm clock does not work. Instead of an alarm at the time it is to wake you up it crashes. Do not trust this app. test before relying on this alarm clock. It has never worked not once.

Doesnt work as advertised

- cant wake the computer from sleep to sound alarm? Like even screen-sleep. Then its not an alarm clock... Why wasnt that advertised? $9.99 down the drain which is why youre first review will be horrible. - Buy Aurora alarm clock - $9.99 but you get what you pay for and that alarm clock will actually start-up your computer to sound alarm, interface with iTunes etc... - actually does everything the advert says it will do. Unbelievable.

Useless

Why wouldnt this be able to wake your computer up? My fault for not reading the reviews...I want my money back

Doesnt work as advertised..

I bought this application. It installed fine. The Alarm does work with music. The instructions to modify the .plist file enabling the alarm while the computer sleeps is incorrect. Also the window to select sounds or music does not open as depicted in the APP Store website. I cannot drag it open.

Not worth it

I have to say I am paying for not waiting til more reviews posted. What is shown above is not what the product does. Cant even change the temperatureand it has gone off late everyday this week. I was looking for a jazzy way to wake up for work...

I like it

I really like this app. It helps me wake up in the morning. I like the weather feature and the iTunes integration. Thank you.

Works great

I bought this for my sun. It works great and gets him to school on time.

Ok more features please

I like the simplicity of this app. Its just what I needed. It could be better if there was radio, however iTunes will do.

Very handy...

This is a very handy little app with a simple and easy to use interface and an amazingly responsive developer! Great job.

Doesnt wake your computer

DO NOT BUY

Dont buy

I purchased alarm pro as an alarm clock for my iMac. I was under the impression this alarm clock will wake me up each morning when my iMac goes to sleep (f.y.i. the computer is not shut down each night). This app appears to only work when the computer is awake and not asleep. In other words, this app holds no purpose for me sadly, since it does not work.

Great for the money

I bought this app after hearing about the issues with it not being able to wake the computer up when its in sleep mode. I figured that I would try to combine it with the free app cafine for your computer which doesnt let your comp sleep. All I had to do was turn the brightness to 0 to prevent screen burn and it worked. This app worked great coupled with cafine. I would definately reccomend this for $0.99

Works Great, Only One Feature Request

It does exactly what I want except for one thing: I prefer to disable my system clock and would really like to see the time as one of the meny options when you click on the icon in the taskbar. This might seem like an odd request, but for a person who struggles with insomnia, it often is favorable to obfuscate clocks. This app would allow one to easily do that by simply showing the current time in the task menu. I like the weather clock radio interface. Its just a simple interface. Nothing fancy or superfluous, but with sufficient features to handle most tasks a person might want in an alarm clock app.

Awful menu animation

The app works fine, though the alarm creation screen is cluttered and somewhat awkward. What kills it for me is that when you set an alarm, the menu icon starts spazzing around in the most distracting way imaginable. Its possible to hide the menu item outright, but youre still stuck with the app icon in the dock (some clock apps can just show a menu item). Id give it two stars, but $5 is fairly steep for an alarm clock app, so I was expecting better.

great app

works great! People complain about how it doesnt wake their mac, but if you go into energy saving preferences and then click schedule itll work fine.

Words have actual meanings.

I purchased Alarm Pro, and (1) I cant get it to recognize my iTunes library as existing, and (2) I dont see a wake to get it to wake my computer from sleep, as Apple (and my Mac) understand the term sleep. As to the first problem, when I shift the menu to "Custom," the Edit button text becomes black as expected, but the button doesnt do anything, and no playlist or track is shown anywhere. As to the latter, this appears to be false advertising, as defining words just any old way isnt really legitimate here. Words have actual meanings. An application performing a simulation of sleep is not the computer, sleeping. The Seller replied that the problem with library recognition was "strange," and that their use of the term sleep was "confusing" and would be corrected. That was several days ago, and the misleading use of the term has not been corrected, and Ive heard nothing further about the "strange" failure of the program to do anything as advertised.
