Why so bad?

Why is it so difficult to write an alarm program which reliably works, and is easy to use. After trying to use this program for several consecutive mornings, I have yet to hear it actually go off…. My $5 device goes off, why cant my $1500 mac!? Poor programming.
For starters, can you make the alarm am/pm easier to set? How about a 24 hr clock? Why does it say I have no connection when it is clearly plugged into the back? I have to turn on my WIFI to get weather updates?Interface seems archaic. Was this put together by a 12 year old? It this an experiment in alarm writing?
Lets have an update, and my maleable opinion will be reflected in this review. For now, NOT RECOMMENDED.
